Sharon

Hello, my name is Sharon and have I been a trustee at West Tarring Young Peoples Hub since March 2018. I have been part of Laugh and Learn Preschool, a long-standing family run preschool run from the Hub since 2007, first a Practitioner, then Manager and then owner since 2017. We have been blessed to have had hundreds of children through our doors as they take their first steps into the world of learning and have supported many families as they navigate their journey to support their children to thrive. As a Mum of 4 and Nanny to 5 I know from personal experience that being a parent is not easy at times and we all need help along the way, which is why, along with my fellow trustees I am excited to be involved in making the Hub a safe space for young people and their families to access support, feel empowered, socialise and have fun.

Jess

Hi, I'm Jess. Five years ago, I had the privilege of joining the West Tarring Young People's Hub as a Trustee. But my connection goes even deeper as I'm also the Deputy Manager and SENCO for the Laugh and Learn preschool here. As a working mum of two and someone who's passionate about mental health support for young people (having previously worked as a support worker at Guild Care), I understand the challenges they face. That's why I'm so dedicated to this Hub. I'm excited to be part of this team and contribute to the Hub's mission of providing a nurturing space for our young people of Worthing.

Lucy

My name is Lucy and have been a trustee at West Tarring Young People's Hub since the beginning of 2023. My roots with the hub go way back to 2010 when my family first stepped through its doors, and all five of my kids have cherished their time at the pre-school that runs from the hub. With a solid 23 years in the NHS, I'm all about lending a helping hand and making a positive impact. A true action and people person, I thrive on getting things done and spearheading initiatives that move us forward. I'm excited to contribute to the hub's journey and continue fostering the joy it brings to families like mine.

Anthony

Hello, I'm Anthony. As a parent who's been bringing my children to the preschool since 2010, I've seen firsthand the positive impact this hub has on our community's young ones. Now that my own children are growing up, I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back and become a Trustee. Witnessing the lasting memories this place creates for so many children is truly humbling. I'm excited to be a part of its next chapter and ensure it continues to provide a nurturing environment for future generations.

Marie

VOLUNTEER Hey, I'm Marie. I served as a trustee at West Tarring Young People's Hub from August 2023 to September 2024. With 20 years of project management experience, I worked closely with the other trustees to ensure everything ran smoothly. Now, I am focusing on my volunteering contributions, particularly enjoying the DIY aspects and supporting community events the hub and the trutees are involved in.  As the Founder of Mother of the Spiritual Child, my passion lies in supporting fellow parents and their children. I am dedicated to unveiling the energy that surrounds us and helping parents navigate the challenges of raising the next generation, especially those who feel unheard, different, or at odds with the education system. My mission is to share practical wisdom, boost confidence, and help others on their journey. Let's navigate this path together!
